Hundreds showed up today for the grand opening of the Rotary Playscape in Spruce Grove, by the Tri Leisure Center. The price tag for the 10,000 square foot “eco-park” was over $700,000.
After the ribbon cutting, we spoke to Mayor Stuart Houston: “This is the largest playscape in Canada,” Stuart said. Built by Habitat Systems, a playscape is a park that features a variety of interactive centers. “The kids are certainly enjoying it,” Mayor Huston added motioning to the bustle of hundreds of children playing below the West District stands.
