Brian Douglas Nickel, a junior high teacher at St. Marguerite Catholic School in Spruce Grove, has plead guilty to a sexual affair with a 14 year old student. Nickel, who is 45, met the female student during the 2007-2008 school year. They go together throughout that summer; exchanging text messages, phone calls, as well as explicit videos and photos of themselves. At the Stony Plain courthouse today, Nickel entered a guilty plea for the followin charges: sexual interference, making child pornography and two counts of possession of child pornography. The Edmonton man’s porn collection included over 900 images of minors, as well as 8 videos.
Brian Nickel was a science and sex education teacher at the school, and was arrested on September 4th, 2008.
