Population increase in Parkland County
The population of Parkland County has increased according to the County’s 2009 Municipal Census. As at May 1, 2009, Parkland County reports a total population of 30,089 residents, an increase from 29,679 residents recorded in the 2005 Census.
Population Breakdown:
- 5 years of age and younger: 6.916% (2,081 residents)
- 6 to 17 years of age: 17.88% (5,382 residents)
- 18+ years of age, 75.19% (22,626 residents)
- Average number of residents per dwelling: 2.5
