Parkland County mayor doesn’t want to pay for transit
The City of Edmonton is asking surrounding municipalities to help invest in public transit. 630 CHED is reporting that Parkland County mayor, Robert Wiedeman, is resisting. They quote Wiedeman, saying he “estimates that a $1 billion LRT project would mean Parkland’s share would be $700,000. That would translate into a 4% tax hike.”
