Wrapping for seniors in Stony Plain

Joan Babineau
Joann Babineau is in a wheelchair, but she doesn’t let that slow her down. In 2001 she had an idea: to bring a joy to local seniors by delivering them a gift at Christmas. “These gifts are thoughtfully chosen, wrapped and hand delivered with love to seniors in local nursing facilities, assisted living lodges,” says Babineau. She has since founded a non-profit society for this work: the Tender Hearts Foundation.
Since it’s founding, the organization now serves 13 care facilities in the Tri-County region and Edmonton area, hand delivering over 1,000 gift boxes full of goodies
If you wish to be a part of this year’s gifting, you can join the Tender Hearts Foundation for Wrapping Day on December 13th, 1-3pm at the Stony Plain Legion.
