FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Spruce Grove… Employees with a combined 275 years of service to the City of Spruce Grove were recognized this week at the City’s annual Staff Service Awards celebration.
The celebration honoured 29 recipients who have been employed with the City for five, 10, 15, 25 and 30 years.
“I am very proud that we have so many long standing employees at the City,” said Mayor Stuart Houston. “I would like to congratulate all our employees who were recognized this year and thank them for their contributions to our community.”
Recipients were from departments across the organization including Corporate Services, Planning and Infrastructure, Community and Protective Services, Economic Development and Human Resources.
The Service Awards celebration, which was held Feb. 27, not only recognizes years of service, but also the dedication and commitment these employees have provided to the City.
“All of our employees play an important role in helping the City run smoothly and efficiently,” said Houston. “Whether they are working on budgets, developing programming options, accepting utility bill payments, maintaining our parks and roads, or managing our public facilities, they all take exceptional pride in their work and help ensure Spruce Grove is a great place to live, work and play.”
